 Today we are leaving Colorado and headed for Utah.  This has been such a beautiful state. I could definitely visit here again.  NOT IN THE WINTER!!!!  It has been cold enough for us and this is "Summer". On our way out Colorado surprised us with yet another stunning display of natures beauty. This is Glenwood Canyon Once again pictures do not even come close to capturing the beauty of this place. So one of the things that confused the hell out me was the roundabouts with multiple outlets.  I went a found this clip of one from Vail but we passed some of these that looked like wagon wheel spokes it had so many exits. These roundabouts may have been created through the recreational use marijuana laws here in Colorado.  We stopped at a "Rest Stop" that is what the sign said. This day is definitely one for the bucket list books. Today we ride to the top of Pikes Peak.  This is the highest summit of the southern front range of the Rocky Mountains.  It is the 53 highest peak in North America.  The ride up to the top consist of 19 miles and 156 turns that ascends to 14,115 ft.  When we left the hotel this morning it was 41 degrees Brenda and Tonya were absolutely dreading going to the top they were bundled up like Ralphie's little brother Randy in a Christmas Story. 😂😂😂 This is Pikes Peak at about 30 miles away Something Super exciting happened on our check in 1 of the 4 of us became a Jr. Ranger of Pikes Peak!!! Woohoo!!! The switchback turns were taken at 10mph and as you got higher and higher they made your butt pucker a little We met a cute little Yellow Bellied Marmot at the top. So one of the big things to do at the top of the mountain is to have doughnuts they are the only doughnuts made at this high of an altitude and they can not...
