Day 7

***** Apologies for the delayed post. apparently someone did not pay the Wifi bill in the Navajo Nation.  We did not even have cell service to mooch off of*****

So we made an executive decision we decided it would be best if we went ahead and got all the tires replaced on the trailer since they were all the same age with the same amount of travel on them.

We stayed at Mountain Ridge Cabins in Hatch, Utah. It was a fantastic place beds were super comfy and cabins were clean.   April was there when we went to check in and told us where to go to get our snacks, breakfast, and our tires replaced.  She was funny, she had told us she was originally from Michigan and hated the winters and moved to Utah where the winters were absolutely brutal! She was telling us that it is not uncommon to have a 50 degree swing in temperatures in the day.  In the spring it will be 75 during the day and 25 at night. burrrrrr!

We got up this morning and rode 15 miles to the town of Panguitch, Utah. Where we dropped the trailer off at Orton Tire and then went to The Flying Goat for breakfast.

We loved loved loved all of the coffee cups.  We will probably regret not buying some.

After breakfast we did a quick 34 mile ride down scenic route 12

Then it was off to Page, Arizona to do the tour of the Lower Antelope Canyon.

Upon arrival we went to check in and Brenda and Tonya said where is the bus?  I said I don't have a clue where the bus is.  I did not read the tour description very well, because it clearly states it is a 1.1 mile walking tour descending 35 meters into the canyon. Both of them upon finding this information out said nope we are out and left Dad and I to do the tour on our own.

This is hands down one of the most interesting, beautiful tours we have ever done.  On our way walking down to the cavern I told dad you know what sucks about walking all this way downhill?  At some point and time we are going to have to walk all the way back up!  LOL  It was worth all of the effort!!!

This is the seahorse and the otter

We finished our tour and was telling them all about how great it was then said we required ice cream to cool off before we headed off to our next destination. The View Hotel in Monument Valley.

We got here just in time to have dinner and see the sunset.  They were also playing the movie She wore a Yellow Ribbon in her hair out on the patio.
